THE ARCHITECTS

Elkus Manfredi Architects is a full-service design firm based in Boston providing architecture, master planning, urban design, interior architecture, space planning, and programming.

The firm was founded in 1988 by Howard F. Elkus FAIA, RIBA, LEED AP and David P. Manfredi FAIA, LEED AP. Our diverse portfolio of design work includes higher education facilities, commercial development, and corporate workplaces. Two areas of specialty include the planning and design of higher education environments, as well as the design of mixed-use projects that combine varied retail, residential, office, or hotel uses.

Elkus Manfredi works closely with clients to understand their long-term strategic goals and support these goals in all assignments, whether a campus-wide master plan, design of a specific campus facility, or design of an urban mixed-use environment.

Elkus Manfredi brings in-depth knowledge of student residential environments, diverse research facilities, and performing arts venues. In addition, we have been at the forefront of the planning of university-sponsored commercial districts — “college towns” — integrating campuses into their surroundings by providing common ground that stimulates connection between community and institution.
